To support our members’ real estate business success.
The goals of the association are as hereunder:
1. To professionalize the real estate agency and brokerage business in Uganda.
AREA aims to continually raise the bar of professionalism for Uganda’s Real Estate, Dealers, brokers, and agents. We want to see an industry with effective and compliant professional standards enforcement program that includes regional and nationwide options.
2. Public Awareness
We will increase AREA membership among existing and potential enrolled agents. We will also enhance member engagement by strengthening or creating products, services, and programs to deliver on the AREA experience, benefits, and value.
3. Professional Education
Deliver timely, innovative and market-driven education programs that expand member’s business skills, promote risk management and increase professional competence.
4. Cooperation among members
Engages with industry partners and consumers in order to create timely programs and services that meet the demands of a rapidly evolving marketplace. This will Reinforce our value proposition to members and utilize resources to support and strengthen the perception of the AREA brand.
5. Research and Development
Gather and analyze more robust member, consumer and market data to better meet the business needs of brokers, agents and other industry players. Develop opportunities for real estate agents and brokerages that strengthen cooperation and promote mutually beneficial relationships.
6. Lobbying and Advocacy
We will advocate for enrolled agents and their rights to practice as well as on issues of critical importance to the profession, including tax and the taxpayer rights. We will also raise the awareness of enrolled agents among the general public.
7. Financial Sustainability (Funding)
Through strategic and financial planning, we will ensure AREA has a strong financial sustainability plan including revenue diversification, sound administration and finance practices and policies and dues and non-dues revenue generation.
8. Program Development and Capacity Building
Proactively develop and empower the team with capacity to deliver programs and expand opportunities that promote AREA’s unique value and brand to consumers, members and the economy.
